Tindersticks are an alternative band from Nottingham. Their sound is characterized by a synthesis of orchestral backing, lounge jazz and soul, the lush orchestrations of multi-instrumentalist Dickon Hinchliffe and the smoky baritone of lead vocalist Stuart Staples are the band's hallmarks.
